Hello dear friends, this journal entry is of a new matter.
I received this kind message from another club owner and found it quite of interest.
Hi! I'm sending this note to each club I'm a member of that uses the gallery system to feature member artwork - may I offer an alternative suggestion?
Rather than upload submitted artwork into the club gallery and asking people to go to the original link, you could use the collection system? I have an example of this at my own club here: ---
I ran this by the DA administration before I implemented this system into my club and its perfectly acceptable within DA's policies. This system links the person directly to the artwork in the member's gallery, eliminating the need to reupload work and worry about taking credit from where its due. It's faster and much less strain as club maintenance goes as well. Updates can be announced by a simple journal update!
I hope all of you will consider this method, as I feel it's much easier and more efficient.
This person basically points out how this would remove all unnecessary "clugging" that is done in DA by re-uploading the same stuff that "you" artists basically did, as well as make certain that all the people who see the art, see it directly on -your page-. AS WELL as making sure that when they favorite, it's also on -your page-.
However! Art will be lost to the club if people delete them off their page. It will be difficult to keep favorites of people not of the club side by side with art of people of the club without making "club members" not so special anymore. (And should it even be?) Also, I'm not sure if everyone reads their journal entries and would be half-assed to actually go look at our page to look at the new deviations if they don't pop in their messages anymore....
Hence, a poll on this must happen!

I'm terribly sorry for the huge spam of art this time around o_o... I guess I realised I still had some from March and I'd rather you guys get things faster than -that- ; ) So I stripped a bit of my waiting list.

In regards to the Gathering, I'd like to suggest that people do their versions of the Gathering mascots or one's own gargoyle characters all trying to get to Chicago. If you've ever since the movie "The Blues Brothers", the last part of the movie was a huge car chase trying to get to Chicago so I think that would be a great tie-in, considering that the G08 mascots are based on the Blues Brothers.What are you waiting for?

So here we have it!The hundreds of messages were sorted, the notes, the submissions, etc. I re-edited the club rules + rules on favorites
Every member should now be on the lists. News are also ready to run! So if you have gargoyles news or websites to announce don't be afraid to inform us. As far as Submissions go there's more on the way. I personally don't believe in spamming with 50 in one shot because people will look at half of them and then forget us for a month. So instead I'll try to slide in some every weekend to keep the interest up and the spam to a minimum. If you submitted art since October 2007, fear not it's still in the queue.If you have NOT submitted art since October... THEN WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING? ; )
